I created ONAIE to bring women comfort, not just in what they wear, but in the small moments that happen around it. Some of my favourite messages are from customers telling me about choosing slippers with their mum, sitting together on the bed and picking a pair, or buying them for daughters, sisters, mothers and grandmothers. Those little family moments mean so much to me. ONAIE is a women-founded and women-led British business, created in London and deeply connected to my Polish heritage. I wanted to bring together the traditional craftsmanship I grew up with and create slippers for women across the UK that feel warm, beautifully made and genuinely comforting to wear at home. When you choose a pair of ONAIE slippers, we want you to know a little more about the hands behind them: who made them, where they were made, what they are made from, and the time and care that goes into every pair. We have worked with our craftswomen for nearly a decade, building relationships that have become an important part of ONAIE. All of our slippers are still made using traditional techniques, with each pair carefully moulded, cut, stitched, embroidered and finished in small batches.
We use natural materials including sheepskin offcuts, a by-product of the meat industry, as well as wool, leather, felt and suede. Each material is chosen for its warmth, comfort and durability. There is no anonymous production line behind ONAIE. There are real women, with years of skill and experience, making each pair by hand with the same care we would want for something made for our own families.
